Three 3d cones with gradients

Generated by creating a 4 node path with bezier tool. Then curving two nodes. Then draw a second one much bigger that looks the same, making sure the nodes are drawn in the same order, and the same amount of nodes. Then center the smaller above the larger. Remove strokes and make the fill of the smaller fairly white, and the larger one grey. Then select smaller and then larger together. Then do interpolate with 10 steps between them to give 12 paths as a result. Now you have something that looks about right (quite a bit like a pencil), and you need to have a center gradient applied. To do that, select them all - group- duplicate then apply a shiny gradient horizontally on it. Quite simple. All three are exactly the same except for the opacity of the top path.
