Mechanical television

This is a "mechanical television" from a long time ago. Inventor John Logie Baird helped to do some experimental broadcasts for this kind of old style TV using a spinning disc with holes to produce a very rough image over the air. Of course eventually Cathode-ray tube TVs won because of a quite better resolution and better ability to scale the size of the TV, etc.
