당수도 (Tang Soo Do)

당수도 (Tang Soo Do) is a Korean martial art. It was popularized in the West by Chuck Norris who learned it in Korea, while he was stationed there in the US Air Force.

Unlike him, I learned it in Pennsylvania and only got the red belt (which is comparable to the brown belt in karate). That was more than half my life ago.

In Chinese script it is 唐手道 but since it is a Korean martial art, it is normally spelled 당수도.
