Srinivasa Ramanujan

This is Srinivasa Ramanujan, one of the best mathematicians that ever lived. He was mostly self taught in his native India and had a very unique way of doing math. He was mostly ignored at first before finally being noticed and he then completely changed mathematics. He lived a short life, and was gone too soon (1887 - 1920).
